The United Nations launched the United National Global Compact to offer a principle-based framework, best practices, resources and networking events to support and revolutionize how companies do business responsibly and keep commitments to society.  The project-based course is an opportunity for students to engage in applied research for agencies that advancing the Agenda 2030 on Sustainable Development.  The students will apply the framework and tools of the UN Global Compact, analytical insights through assignments and readings for enriching their contribution to the projects.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:  Students who successfully pass this course will be able to demonstrate that they are able to:

  • Grasp the framework of sustainability and the application of the principles through critical thinking and applied projects. This will be demonstrated during assignments work, group discussions and project work
  • Effectively communicate during client facing research projects, including defining of expectations and demonstrate project management skills
  • Be resourceful with an ability to think across discipline. This will be demonstrated through methodologies adopted for the research project and contributions in class discussions.
