Recreational Sports
The Recreational Sports Office located in the Office of Student Life at Franklin University Switzerland aims to provide experiences that enrich the lives of the FUS community at large, advance student success, develop leaders and encourage lifelong wellness. The office is committed to promoting physical fitness within the university and organizes activities and sports for students, faculty, and staff.
Regular intramural sports and a variety of activities are proposed to the community, such as for example Archery, Basketball, Indoor Soccer, Volleyball, Yoga and many more. These activities are mainly offered in the Tone Athletic Center (TAC, located in North Campus), which includes an outdoor soccer field, a small strength and conditioning room, and a big indoor sport court. A second gym, called Tone Fitness Center (TFC) is available at the Mc Neely Center and consist of a traditional fitness room equipped with a variety of strengthening machines and treadmills.
The Franklin Recreational Sports Office also coordinates various outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, climbing, stand up paddling, skiing, snowboarding, sledding and many more. It also organizes programs in collaboration with other local universities and institutions, providing opportunities to connect locally and share experiences with other students. Unless specifically noted, the proposed activities are free of charge and open to all FUS students, faculty, and staff.
The current semester's activity program is always up-to-date and available at the following link:
