more information about what will happen after filing an anonymous report, see
the Question and
Answer section below.

Life, to the police and/or to seek confidential support from the University Counselor or an off-campus specialist not affiliated with Franklin.

Question and Answer Section about Anonymous Reporting
Who can use this anonymous report form?
Anyone who has experienced, witnessed, or learned of suspected sexual misconduct or a bias incident that is in any way connected to Franklin University Switzerland or members of the Franklin community.
What
information should I include in my report?
Please provide as many details as you feel comfortable in your report. Include as much information about the following as you can recall:
- Name(s) of the person or people who caused the harm (if known)
- Dates or approximate dates of the incident(s), if known
- Time or approximate time of the incident(s), if known
- Location(s) involved before, during, and after the incident
- Names of witness(es) involved before, during, and after the incident
- Details of the incident
What will Franklin do with my anonymous report?
All information provided will be forwarded to the Dean of Student Life. First, a determination will be made if specific action from the Dean of Student Life or other staff members would be appropriate to ensure the safety of members of our community. This information will also be used to better understand incidences of sexual misconduct and bias in our community, to help identify any patterns of behavior and to aid Franklin in its education, prevention, and response efforts. The information will be included in the reports of sexual misconduct and bias incidents that Franklin must record.
I want the person who harmed me to be removed from campus.
Franklin is limited in its ability to respond to anonymous reports. Without the ability to proceed through a formal investigation and make a determination of responsibility it is very unlikely a person reported to have violated the sexual misconduct policy or bias incident policy can be found responsible and receive a sanction such as removal from campus.
What can I expect after filing an anonymous report?
We encourage the person making the report to seek support from any of the confidential on-campus or off-campus resources. Without the name or contact information of the person making an anonymous report, Franklin does not have the ability to follow-up formally with the reporting individual.
If I change my mind after filing an anonymous report, what can I do?
A person may decide to pursue a formal investigation or identify themselves as an anonymous reporter by contacting the Dean of Student Life at any time.
May I also choose to report this to the police?
Absolutely. Franklin encourages those who have been the victim of sexual misconduct and incidents of bias to report them to the police. Please note that the police might respond differently or have a different set of protocols than Franklin’s. Filling a report with Franklin does not automatically trigger a report to police. Staff in the Office of Student Life can assist students in reporting to police, or students can contact the police on their own.

May I access support resources without having to formally report to Franklin?
Yes. Confidential support resources are available both on campus and off campus. These resources can provide counseling, safety planning options, assistance filing orders for protection, and information on reporting to police.
In addition, there are support options available on campus to students, including changes in class schedules or housing arrangements, support with academic issues related to an incident, and assistance in receiving health and counseling resources. A student is NOT required to provide additional information about the incident or participate in a University investigation in order to receive these services. Our primary goal is to help, and we will respect the student’s decision to share, or not share, any aspect of the situation with us. Students can contact Rebecca Mills, the Title IX Coordinator or the Dean of Student Life for access to these support resources.
Victim Support Switzerland helps everyone who has suffered direct harm to their physical, psychological or sexual integrity as the result of a criminal act in Switzerland. They can respond monetarily (covering medical fees, counselling, and more) if the aggressor is unknown.
